Delivery

At Blue Island Home, we are proud of our Delivery Service. We use three methods of delivery, all intended to make receiving your order as simple as possible. 

When your new furniture is nearly complete, we will contact you with the planned dispatch date together with the delivery information.

For large or heavy parcels (eg large TV furniture, oak units etc):

Our delivery partner, BJS Extra, will contact you within 72 hours following collection of your parcel from our workshop. They will advise you of the earliest delivery date by text or by email and you will have the option to reschedule for a different date if you need to.

You will receive your delivery approximately 3 to 7 working days after collection.

Deliveries are made from Monday to Friday, from 7am to 9pm. For remote areas, delivery slots may be limited to specific weekdays.

You will be allocated a system generated 3-hour delivery window the day before delivery. Additionally, the delivery team will also ring you 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to arriving on the day of delivery.

Delivery is a 2 man service, ground to ground service. If no lift is available, the delivery team will only carry up to two flights of stairs. Any delivery taken over the two flights of stairs will incur an additional charge.

Each item will be delivered in its original packaging and will not be unpacked. However the unpacking of goods and disposable of packaging is a service available at extra cost.

The free UK delivery covers most UK mainland addresses, except for Wales (LL, SY, SA & LD postcodes), Cornwall/Devon (EX, TQ, PL & TR postcodes), Scotland, NE, CA, DH, SR, TS, LA, DL and YO postcodes where there will be a small additional charge which will be advised following order placement. The additional delivery charge will depend on order size and delivery location.

Local Hand-Delivery Service:

Depending on your postcode, we sometimes use trusted and experienced local hand delivery service, or will deliver to you ourselves. When your new furniture is nearly complete, we will send you an email with the planned delivery date together with the courier’s name and mobile number.

Our courier will then contact you directly to arrange a convenient delivery time with you.

Delivery is a 1 man service so assistance may be required on arrival. If this isn’t possible, please let us know so that we can make alternative arrangements.

For small parcels (eg side tables, small TV stands etc):

We use next day express couriers such as DPD or any other suitable courier service (depending on the size and location) which can be tracked.

When your new furniture is nearly complete, we will send you an email with the planned delivery date together with delivery information.

You will then receive a tracking number on dispatched by email and text. At this point, you’ll also have the option to amend the delivery date and drop-off location.

Important Note: 

When you receive your order, please verify the condition of the outer packaging in front of the delivery person. You can refuse the item in case it is damaged, or you can state the damage on the delivery form. Once your order has been received, please open and inspect the item for any damage. 

Collection

Collection is available from Chichester, West Sussex.

Northern Ireland, Highlands & Off-Shore Shipping

We can deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Highlands, Northern Scotland, Scottish Isles or the Channel Islands. However, you would need to contact us to obtain the cost of delivery to these areas.

If our delivery quote is not cost efficient, then we can deliver free to a nominated mainland GB address e.g. a port. Further transport and responsibility for the items will belong to the customer from this point onwards. Blue Island Home will not be able to accept any responsibility for any damage or loss caused in shipping overseas when organised by the customer.

Alternatively some of our further afield customers find it can be more cost efficient to arrange collection from Blue Island Home (PO19 7BJ) to them. If that is something you would like to explore and look at shipping options yourself, please let us know and we will send you the packed dimensions.
